Terms of service

Ranger relays your text messages to an AI assistant that can search the web, and texts the response back to you. It is designed for situations where you have cellular coverage but limited or no data.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ranger. You may only register a mobile number that you own or are authorized to use. If you give up a number, tell us so we stop messaging it.

Plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. Each plan includes an allowance of messages; usage beyond the allowance may be paused until the next billing period or until you upgrade. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.

SMS delivery, frequency, cost, and opt-out are covered by our messaging terms, which are part of this agreement.

You agree not to use Ranger to:

• break the law or infringe someone else’s rights;
• send spam, harass anyone, or impersonate another person;
• generate content that sexualizes minors, facilitates violence, or otherwise violates the acceptable use policy of our AI provider;
• resell, automate, or scrape the service outside of normal personal use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we will refund any unused prepaid time when we do.

Assistant replies are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on Ranger for medical, legal, financial, or emergency decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee that any particular message is delivered or answered, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
